I bet if somehow an unofficial patched build made it into the wild there would be *torrents* (Ahem) *torrents* of gratitude from around the world.

I wont be breaking ranks but I can understand that people really want RTMP streaming to become a reality. I've tested the patch on window with the iplayer plugin and it seem all good. but the xbox is my media centre at the moment and I haven't been able to get to work on the xbox platform Sad

unfortunately it looks like we will have to wait till after the final release till its looked at. As the patch milestone has been set to 9.04, disappointing and a touch baffling as its intended to fix a bug in the RTMP code.

Once the patch is reviewed by a developer (preferably elupus or vulkanr) then the milestone will be assessed and changed as needed.

We don't just go and add any old thing to SVN - it needs a thorough code review first Smile

Cheers,
Jonathan

Question
I wonder if amazon video on demand uses DRM? Huh
http://www.amazon.com/gp/browse.html/ref...e=16261631

They got a fairly large amount of free content in decent quality (480p or better) and "previews" of a couple of minutes of shows that are pay-per-view.

Bloody U.S proxies again, why ?
Everyone circumvents them anyway, cease, abate, negate.

Looks interesting will play with them in the morn instead of working.

Hulu is out and therefore Fancast - Geo checks at rtmp level.(gits) need a vpn or VERY fast U.S proxy.
Most people will get banned from their isp if i explain about proxy scanning and a scanning wave starts.

Voinage how about those of us from the US can we still use Hulu/ Fancast?

Yeah i suppose i could release a version for the U.S xbmc users - but i`m in England and feel slighted that i have to use a fast proxy. I`ll tidy up my scruffy code and release them soon for the US users -- ^&%&%&^%^&%!!!! Geo checks.

Voinage I appreciate it, now as far as all these RTMP sites are going are you thinking of making a global plugin that can access all of them? The US guys appreciate you still releasing this.

As a USA XBMC user, it is nice to not have to use proxies. However, we still get screwed with internet speed, so I think you win. I chug along at 1.5 Mbps which is a joke compared to all of you European XBMC users. Thanks for looking out for us though Voinage. Can't wait for the next T3CH build and Hulu!

My sentiments exactly with regards to the iPlayer Wink.

But we Yanks would appreciate a hulu plugin.

I noticed on your SOuthpark Studios plugin you say to use a proxy to list the episodes - any reason for this?

hi

some usefull Streaming sites:
hope can be plugins avaible too?

http://www.justin.tv
http://www.justin.tv/directory

http://www.blogtv.com
http://www.blogtv.com/Livenow

http://www.ustream.tv
http://www.ustream.tv/live

http://www.mogulus.com
http://www.mogulus.com/guide/livenow?cid=&lid=&count=

http://www.veetle.com

on this some site can find the rtmp links,

how find rtmp for

justin.tv:

http://live.justin.tv/find/live_user_[username].csv

In [username] you fill the username of the guy who broadcasts.

For example:

http://live.justin.tv/find/live_user_polsports.csv

If the stream is online that link will give you something like this:

location,type,name,node_name
38.99.50.73:1940,location,live_user_polsports,batm an-8_node_r1940

So the direct link will be:
rtmp://38.99.50.73:1940/live_user_polsports

Mogulus:

rtmp://75.101.209.150/mogulus/[channel]/[identifier]

But you first need to know the [identifier], what's impossible to know without contacting the streamer. But it's often just "stream".

If your in the US you dont need the proxy. I can use it on my Xbox just fine, it pulls up the thumb nails but I dont have the Rtmp patch so it wont play. But like I said I dont need the proxy to pull up all the episodes and thumb nails.
