(Laptop) Intel graphics chipsets & DualScreen Support
#1
Hello,

it seems that there is no way to setup the nativ screen resolution on both screens at the sametime or dedicated on the TMDS (external = f.e. PlasmaTV)

(Dell Latitude D620 with Docking Station)

The normal workaround with debian/ubuntu is to use the following packet:

http://packages.debian.org/sarge-backpor...resolution

Is it possible to implement this in a (custom?) xbmc live cd/usb?

regards

Have you tried pressing "FN" + "F8" keys on your laptop?
Pressing that key combination will cycle through 3 separate video modes: Laptop only, Clone (both displays will have the same resolution), and External only.
I'm not sure if this is what you were asking for, but at least its a start to choosing the display you want.

We've tried that but there is no reaction, tested with a Dell D620 (i945GM) and a Dell D630 (i950GM)
