XBOX What is the issue with KODI
#1
Hi,
I'm having issues on version 21.0-RC1 on dev mode (20.90.900.0_x64), some videos (not all) display a weird palette of colors that renders the video unwatchable. Not sure if this is something exclusive for on the Xbox Series X console or more of a general issue. Is there a known workaround for it? Some types of encoded videos should be excluded from the video search/library? Are there non allowed/advised rendering methods? Is there some kind of limitation on the hardware? Is it fixable in the future?

Thanks in advance for any clarification.

Maybe, I own a Samsung S95B model that doesn't support Dolby Vision. Should that be the only reason?

Neither does Kodi on the Xbox.

Check the media info of the video file and post it here.

Sure, here.

I've been digging around and couldn't found, a list of non-supported / non-available features per platform. What are some the most important features missing on the XBOX Series X?

There's the problem:

HDR format : Dolby Vision, Version 1.0, Profile 5, dvhe.05.06, BL+RPU

No HDR10 compatible base layer.
