Cannot connect to Kodi Add-on repository
#1
Hi! I am a new Kodi user and would hugely appreciate help with the issue below!
Big thanks in advance!

ISSUE
Freshly installed Kodi on Android TV projector from Google Play Store. The official Kodi Add-on repository appears installed and enabled. However, when I try accessing Kodi Add-on repository, I keep getting the message “Could not connect to repository”.

SETUP
Kodi:     Build 20.5 (20.5.0)
OS:       Android TV 10.0.0 API level 29 (kernel: Linux 4.19.89+)
Device:  XGIMI Horizon Pro (smart projector)

Hi! Your provider is blocking requests to our servers.

http://103.1.138.206/mirrors.kodi.tv/add....gz?sha256

Code:

Thank you! Is there another mirror I might be able to use?

I just checked, it looks like "http://103.1.138.206/" is blocked, but "http://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/nexus/addons.xml.gz?sha256" is accessible. Also just checked through another provider, but got the same result. So this must be an issue for everyone in Singapore, not just my specific provider.

No, 103.1.138.206 is the server of your provider that is hosting the block page. You are being automatically redirected by said provider, as shown in the log file. You are not reaching any Kodi server at all. It might also be some weird software/setting running on your device that is doing the redirection (if you claim that you can access it in the browser?); it is impossible to say from here.

The Nexus repo is all of a sudden down for a lot of people, myself included. The Omega repo is working fine.

Tried clean installs of v20.5, v20.4 and v19.5 on android tv and osx catalina... getting the same "Could not connect to repository" for official repo. Unable to install other addons because dependencies are "unavailable"; I'm assuming these dependencies are only available from the kodi repo. bummer.

It looks like the issue has been fixed on Windows and Android at least. Thank you for getting to it so quickly.

Fix went in about half an hour ago.

Happy to hear it's working Smile
