Solved Help with Dolby Atmos
#1
Hello I am currently on 21.0 Omega and had the same issues with Nexus 20.3, 4 and 5 but it seems like i can no longer get Atmos or TrueHD on my videos playing through Kodi
I currently have a Sony HT-a5000 with Surround Rear Speakers, which is a compatible device. I am using an NVidia Shield and I can get Atmos/TrueHD on all other apps like Netflix, Plex and VLC. I believe at some point I was getting Atmos but seems like not anymore. Any thing I am missing set up wise. Thank you!

Try switching to AudioTrack (IEC), Kodi IEC packer (recommended) for Passthrough output device.

Also post a debug log.

The instructions are here... debug log (wiki)

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.
4.Upload the log to Kodi Paste Site manually or use the Kodi Logfile Uploader. (wiki) With either method post the link to the log back here.

If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file (wiki)

In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.

Note: Full logs only. No partial or redacted logs
Do NOT post your logs directly into the forum. Use the Kodi Paste Site. Post the link to your pasted log in the forum

Hi i cleared them all out and did a complete reset and played the file locally and it works now. Could a skin cause an issue like that? I use Arctic Zephyr Mod Skin. Thank you!
