anyone could help me

If anyone could help me out I would appreciate it. I'm looking for a way I can force 2560x1080 (21:9) when I play a video (any res), but toggles back to 1920x1080 when I exit the video. Sort of like a whitelist set to "on start/stop", but toggles regardless of the video resolution. Many thanks!

Hi.

Kodi has a client interface (the "skin"), and then it has a player that will actually play the video.

Some client interface skins are not 4K (ex:  Confluence) so they will appear to display at 1080.  However, depending on your computer and display, once you begin playing your video source the actual content can be displayed in 4K.

And then, once done playing, the skin is displayed in lower resolution.

Is that what is happening with your implementation?
