Kodi auto-update from Nexus to Omega, but how?
#1
Hi Folks,

Need your advice here.
I am running Kodi Nexus for quite a while and sometimes  I have been seeing "running installation for the first time" which I didn't do an installation during those times.
But last night, the message appeared, and only this morning I noticed it is now running on Omega version.

Is there a setting that could have triggered this?
I was only able to check add-on updates settings that I already put in the past for notify, but don't install updates.
I can't seem to find and update setting for Kodi itself.

I also checked on Android setting and didn't seem to find one.

btw, I am currently running Android 7.1 on Mygica ATV 1900 PRO TV box.

Thanks in advance.

If you have installed Kodi through the Google Play Store, it will also be updated by the Google Play Store. So check the settings there.

This one helped, good info.

I rarely use google play and didn't know there was a setting there.
I only installed another app so I used google play, but I installed kodi via local drive and GP automatically updated it.

Thanks MrMagic.
