on xbmc when l try to add source my network drive l can see all the folder but not the content like my avi files Huh

My default, XBMC will only show files that correspond to the current media category you are in (Music, Pictures, Video). For example, you won't see AVI and MOV files under Music or Pictures.

EDIT: To add to that, a source is kind of like a shortcut to some directory, so when you're browsing to add a source, it only shows directories. This is expected behavior. Once you add the source, you will be able to see the relevant files in that directory and its subdirectories.

l try that but still wont show the videos files, it works under linux just fine just like you say but not on the mac
