(bbc) internet streams - real media & windows media
#1
having just installed xbmc (and loving it, btw) i saw in the tips and tricks how to use internet streams. this is an important feature for me, having previously used nitotv (with perian and other codecs installed) to do this.

but i would like all my media in 1 app, if poss. so i copied the existing files for nitotv to a new location, renamed them adding ".strm" to the end of the files, and added the folder as a music source.

iBreaks (http://live.ibreaks.co.uk:8500/listen.pls) works fine. i believe this to be a shoutcast stream

BBC Radio 1 doesnt work.
i have tried real media (rtsp://rmlivev8.bbc.net.uk/farm/*/ev7/live24/radio1/live/r1_dsat_g2.ra) which does nothing when i click it...
i have also tried windows media (mms://wmlive-acl.bbc.co.uk/wms/radio1/radio1_nb_e1s1?BBC-UID=a4785b2afad0096e67edbb02105045a5d598898cf04051a4544f59a732b6064b_n&SSO2-UID=) which detects the stream, but "buffering" stays at 0% for ages and i cancel out of it (the iBreaks stream buffers immediately)
i know these are the correct paths, as they worked under nitotv.

can anyone help please? where are the log locations for debug info?

regards
