IR / RF Remote Controls for Windows: Links to Explanations, Tutorials, and Guides

rossglass, may I ask to get a link to your mapping file? I plan on purchasing one of those VRC 1100s for my setup, and I'm crap when it comes to doing XML.

I am using Mac Mini with IR. In Mac system the Apple TV remote works well for xbmc. I also installed windows in Mac mini, but Apple TV remote doesn't work for xbmc.

Does anyone know how to use Apple tv remote for xbmc in windows?

Hey. I have the Xtreamer Ultra 1 remote contoroller. I have Xtreamer Ultra 1 with Windows 7 on it, and since I've installed windows 7 the controller doesnt work with XBMC. I am not sure which solution to choose, can you help me?

There are a couple ways to do this. THere's a registry mod, or you can use XBMC Advanced Launcher.

Went from Win 7 to Win 8 and upgraded to Frodo 12.2 on my HTPC and I'm no longer able to "Power On" my htpc using the Harmony as I had in the past.

Harmony 900 devices and activities have not changed.

I am able to 'power on' the htpc by turning on the iPazzport keyboard.

Also, starting XBMC via soft key (Win + 1) no longer works in Win 8.
