1. Install Live v2 when done turn off computer
2. plug pendrive to another pc with linux
3. copy ext3fs.img to pc and:
first:
dd if=/dev/zero of=ext3fs.img bs=1M count=2000
then:
mkfs.ext3 ext3fs.img -F

4. copy back file, after this unmount pendrive
5. run xbmc

( i check Live v1 - create img file only 2GB files, i try 3,4GB )

2. plug pendrive to another pc and copy ext3fs.img to hdd
3. install Live v2 when done after turn off copy extfs.img from "another" PC

i was not able to copy the message, but it was something like that.

Huh

i don't think that you can copy a 3 GB file into a FAT formated stick. (2GB limit)Huh

1. Download the file (only 4 MB). This file represent the 2GB version of
ext3fs.img, so after unraring it you will get a 2GB clean ext3 file sistem file.
2. Put the USB stick in a windows machine (or mount in Linux) and replace ext3fs.img from it with the downloaded file.
3. Put the stick back and reboot from it. Now you will get 1.8 GB of free storage space. That is it !!! Smile

Note: You can not create a bigger file because of the 2GB FAT limitation.
Warning: With this solution you will lose all of your settings and XBMC will start clean. !!!

P.S. How can i upload a file in a post?

...And i know my English is bad...Sad

What I did is created manually the ext3fs.img as Luigi suggested (3GB file):
Code:
dd if=/dev/zero of=ext3fs.img bs=1M count=3000
mkfs.ext3 ext3fs.img -F
Then just copied it over the existing ext3fs.img in the USB drive. After this no space problems. Beware that you lose your XBMC permanent data with this. So you may want to back it up 1st from /home/xbmc/.xbmc.

from erix post. This is a 3GB file (1MB X 3000= 3GB)!

If i misunderstood i am sorry.
