Thanks for making at a clear now Big Grin But next time you should use "screwed", which has a somewhat more universal meaning ;-)

The original page with file links:

http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes...p_id=87054

http://osdn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourcefor....15.tar.gz
http://osdn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourcefor...15-win.rar

So grab them if you can. The above links seem to be valid, but I didn't see the content of them so they may not be working at all.

ccxstream protocol in my view is by far the best method of sharing out media files to XBMC. It's simple and efficient and it just works (use the linux version all the time).

If you want to do some fancy stuff, there is a python version out there, give it a try.

I always found MFXstream

http://mfxstream.sourceforge.net/

a much more flexible XBMSP server you can add as many folder as you want and merge mount points.

NOTE: The program requires .NET Framework v1.1 to run

I use SMB now it took me a wile to get it working as long as you make sure nothing blocking it it just works in my case it was my fire wall. Laugh I would never go back now as SMB as it allows you to organise your files any way you want. It aromatically merges mount points if you duplicate your directory structure.
ie

F:\\tv\documentaries\History
N:\tv\documentaries\History
M:\tv\documentaries\History
S:\tv\documentaries\History

all appear as one folder which is nice Big Grin

i have tried the ccxgui but is not the best tool for streaming video vor xmbc. when you start a video it is buffering 10% of the video that is to much.

Any other solution?

I have a windows 2008 server, but I cant isntall a WMS on it, and cant resolve it..... I heard the the wms can stream video as well.

Thanks for the help.

Why don't you just use SMB/Microsoft Networking?

SMB aka Microsoft Networking/sharing is what Windows uses by default to share files between computer. Please have a look at our wiki or on the net for more info....

If I understand well that is not for divx or avi movie type. I'll tried freenas server but is to complicate to make a upnp stream server whit it(I am to dumb for it), and no step by step description.
No Linux knowledge, I always used win aplications.
Thanks anyway

SMB can be used for any type. SMB allows you to use any remote network file as if it is local. But that's beyond the scope of this forum. If you need additional about this, you should browse the internet for it....
