is there any chance of seeing it implemented in the future for XBMC ATV/OSX?

Or a program with similar features?

If you're already on OSX why not just run Adium? What would be the benefit of integrating XBMC and any chat client (except for maybe IRC, so you could get 'live' help, but thats still a big stretch) versus running them separately?

Not trying to put you down or anything I'm just curious why you think they should be integrated.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search and search the forum before posting.

libpurple would be a better choice as it would work on all platforms.
