I was wondering why the newest episode of a particular show didn't go into my library when I ran a scan, so I looked at thetvdb.com and it's not there yet.

Does an episode not go into the library until it is added to the web site?

Sorry if that is a dumb question but it might help explain a lot of the questions people have about things not appearing in the library (especially more obscure shows).

if you're using the tvdb.com scraper, and the episode isn't there, it's not going to find it and won't be able to add any info into the library. the great thing about thetvdb.com is that anyone can add information, so if you see something's missing, feel free to add it yourself.

I have added some epsiode info, but it is still not showing up in the library, however the series info I added is showing.. does it take a while for the episode info to "propagte" into their DB??
(everything is named in a sane manner..)

The file is is located like this: "TV Shows\The Football Years\The Football Years.s01.e04.mpg"

As I said, it's picking up the series (and actor) info just not the episode info..

I don't think it's the way I entered it as the one's I've entered for Takeshi's castle works (for example see below)

and wierdly I added 2 to "the sky at night"

it's been a few hours now, and lots of refreshes and still no joy.. (it's probably something very simple I am overlooking!)

off the top of my head, try removing the dot between s01 and e04 and rescan.

removing the dot doesn't seem to help..
