is there a way to bootup directly to XBMC instead of ATV?
Is there a boot delay?

The is a way to do this but there are a few other issues to work out.

No, boot into XBMC will be pretty quick as it's replacing the Finder.app

Standby with XBMC under the AppleTV is not possible because the power supply does not support power states.

I manage to get it on auto-load with TinkerTool, but the problem is that XBMC wasn't responding to apple remote, but I can control it with my iphone vnc client.

Not at present, like I've indicated, there are other issues to work out first. For example, Finder.app tickles watchdog every 58 seconds. If watchdog does not get the message, then it will try to re-launch Finder.app. If no messages in about 5 mins, watchdog will reboot the AppleTV.

And IR handling will have to be done using XBMC Helper which has a framework dependency that is not present on the AppleTV.

Setting XBMC.app to launch instead of Finder.app is trivial, it's the details that are the issue Smile
