I feel like the windows version of XBMC is just sluggish on my hardware. It's not something that i'd normally complain about, but when seeing it run under ubuntu 8.10 on the same hardware silky smooth, it's hard to not wonder if i can achieve the same under Vista.
It's mostly the UI, but there's some minor jerkiness in video playback as well (I'm aware this is a documented problem with the windows port)
I'm running:
Intel DG45FC with X4500HD graphics,
Pentium E5200 2.5GHz wolfdale
500 gig hard drive
1 gig Mushkin DDR2-800 RAM
anybody know of any magic tricks to speed this slowpoke up? I'd use linux but my TV tuner is only supported under Windows, and there's a lack of PCI-E x1 based tuners that have analog support under MythTV.
