XBMC Skin and Config Creator

hi,

is there a working skin ? i need one skin sample to build a xbmc skinner win32 app. to create skins. where can i get the information! if you have the information sned ist "melih@gmx.li"

i'll begin to code the skinner app. so send me all the information you have for xbmc skins.

project: xbmc skin and config creator
prj name: xbmc-config
ver.: alpha 0.1

base features:
- build only xbmc skins [not for xbmp]
- build config file [including file zilla ftp config file]
- skin preview function
- skin wizard!
- ..

future features:
- connecting to xbmc via ftp
- up/download skins to xbmc
- connect to a skin database [maybe allxboxskins.com] with preview function
- ? any suggestion...

k, you can get the original xbmc skin from the cvs. what programming language will you code in?

one thing to think about is that one has to make seprarate skins for each resolution to optimize the qualty.

like:
ntsc 720x480
pal/secam 720x576
hdtv 480p/i 640x480
hdtv 720p/i 1280x720
hdtv 1080i 1920x1080

actually if you know some c++ / directx stuff
you can take the guilib project from xbmc and port it to windows
it has everything needed to load & draw the skin

hehe, now that i think of it. its should be pretty easy 2 port the entire xbmc to windows:-)

hi all

i was searching the forum for an app like this, but it seems that it doesn't exist at all. i want to make an skin for xbmc, but i don't have any idea on how to edit all of the xml files. i would use the trial and error method, bu i don't have the xbox near my pc, and debugging the skin is nearly impossible.

a wysiwyg editor would be great. with an app like this, for sure that the number of skins for xbmc would increase a lot.

is this project dead or something?
