"Remove from Library" = Deleted from hard drive?
#1
I'm running XBMC on my Apple TV, and while using the context menu on one of my TV shows I chose Remove from Library. I thought it would only delete the info in my library, but it deleted the actual files from my shared drive. I guess I should have read the manual a little better, but does anyone know if I can get my files back? When you delete something from your iTunes library, it just moves the files to the trash. But I can't find these files anywhere, not in the trash, etc. I even turned all the invisible files (using InVisibles) and I can't locate them at all. Are they gone for good? Anyone know how to recover them?

Remove from library does not delete anything off the disk unless:

1. You have "Allow delete/rename operations" enabled (Settings->Appearance->File Lists)
2. You confirm the second dialog that says it's going to delete the file.

If it's really gone, then it's likely gone for good.

Cheers,
Jonathan

Yeah, thats what I figured. I have Data Rescue running on it right now... hopefully I can salvaged some of the files. Oh well, I learned my lesson.

Thanks for the help!
