marshalleq Wrote:Thanks guys, so of the 2% of content that fails, is it related to random crashes (ie doesn't work the first time but second attempt does) or related to particular encodes (so if my encodes are all done the same they will likely all play correctly) or something else.
Would be interested to hear what experiences you have with this.
Thanks!

gzusrawx Wrote:I installed it following the instructions, but XBMC crashes whenever I try to play anything. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have an E8400 CPU and a 7150/630i nvidia motherboard, using the onboard graphics.
marshalleq Wrote:Thanks for nothing BLKMGK, in the time it took you to answer that question you could have actually answered it instead of being a complete dick. Perhaps you could consider that other peoples worlds do not revolve around you and that different circumstances apply to different people. I'm actually no-where near an xbmc box at the moment and in the good spirit of open source figure most normal people don't mind helping out others by communicating. I mean that is what a forum is isn't it? Communication?
Not everyone is on your level either.
Have a wonderful night / day, whatever it is where you are.
BLKMGK Wrote:Sorry but I\we aren't your test monkeys. If you want to learn everything +kitchen sink about how this performs get off your butt and compile it rather than asking for answers to subjective questions that you could get yourself.
The code is obviously working, I and others less lazy than yourself are running it. No one can tell you if your encodes will run, we've not got them and you've not told us anything about how they were encoded....
Oh and the answer is It Depends!
volenin Wrote:Hi,
I am considering to give this branch a try... Is it synced with the main 'linux-port' branch? (in terms of other 'non=GPU-accellerated' code). If not, what was the sync point? Just want to make sure I won't miss any of the features & bug fixes that appeared on the linux-branch for the last 2-3 months....
Thanks!
