?Scripts and Plug-ins?

Question
Well,
I have been a long time XBMC user on box and have recently decided to abandon, or rather upgrade to a Linux based HTPC running XBMC for my primary home theater (I will still use the Xbox for anther setup). Anyways, I have not upgraded my XBMC on the Xbox in 2 years or so because I frankly haven’t had the need because I have never had problems, but I have just recently started experimenting with the Linux version and have noticed that some basic features are missing in the Linux version of XBMC that are present on my really old version of XBMC on my XBOX. Fist and foremost would be the embedded “Shout Cast” radio, I am sure the functionality still exists in XBMC but I am not sure how to access it. Also I have heard a lot about plug-ins and scripts but have not really bothered with them because I have no idea as to where to find current information on them. The xbmc.org has a link to some page that does have scripts and stuff but it seems to be abandoned as none of the information seems to be current. So basically what I am asking is for help with scripts and plug-ins. I have no idea as to where to find them, most notably current versions, and I have very little experience with installing them as with my old Xbox XBMC I had everything I needed as it came out of the box with the stuff I needed. Could someone please recommend/help me find and install scripts and plug-ins that are current to expand what seems to be limited functionality out of the box? (NOTE: I know a lot has changed in XBMC in 2yrs and I know a lot of progress has been made and I am really enjoying those features but the basic stuff that came out-of-the-box on my old version I seem to be really missing).

Thanks,
Slice

P.S. Great work on the new release guys, I expect even better features in the future no w that XBOX is not holding you back.

Thumbs Down
Well, i tried the links you supplied to the repo installer but it seems that it simply doesn't do anything, at least in XBMC linux. when i put it in my scripts folder and run it is simply says running for about a second and then it doesnt do anything.

Same here.

I installed all the python related packages hoping that would fix it.

repo installer is a plugin.

rwparris2. i had a look at your repo.

PHP Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?>
<repo>
    <url>http://rwparris2-xbmc-plugins.googlecode.com/svn</url>
    <root>/trunk</root>
    <structure name="plugins" noffset="-2" install="" ioffset="2" />
</repo>

should work as another repo for svn installer. if you want it added let me know.

I have access to the xbmc-addons one, where I stick stuff that I think works well enough / useful enough to distribute.

The other one is just a holding ground for whatever I'm playing with, so its not so good for general distribution.

Thanks though!
