Unknown keyword in syslinux.cfg, Could not find kernel image: linux on USB Install
#1
Hi All,

Just downloaded atlantis and installed using live cd on to my 8GB USB key (that had a working beta 2 copy installed). The live CD to USB install went through with no issues. When install completes and I reboot on the USB key I get:
Unknown keyword in syslinux.cfg (x4)
Could not find kernel image: linux
boot:

Re-downloaded new ISO x2 (yes from a new location), new CD-R burnt, manual deletion and format = same results. USB Looks alright and I can open the syslinux.cfg file etc. I have also tried to manually copy over the files from the live CD to the USB key. Live CD works and boots with no issues. It's only the USB install that doesn't want to work.

Any ideas? What else can I try?

Thanks!

stefan.schulz,

Do not copy over syslinux.cfg from the CD to the USB flash drive. That syslinux.cfg is meant for booting off the XBMC Live CD!

Does the syslinux on your flash drive look like this?

display boot.msg
prompt 1
timeout 1
# CONSOLE 0

default 1

#nVidia
label 1
kernel vmlinuz
append initrd=initrd0.img boot=usb quiet splash xbmc=nvidia
...
