XBMC crashes on start

I looked around in the FAQs and suchlike and found no reference to sources.xml, could someone please give me a hand here...

try updating your graphics card drivers. they need to be on the latest drivers otherwise XBMC will crash at start up. something to do with open gl.

I am having the same problem even after installing the latest ATI drivers (Radeon 9600 vid here)

A debug log will tell you more. I'll see if I can get the GL stuff upped to a higher loglevel.

For now, create an advancedsettings.xml in your userdata folder with the following:

</advancedsettings>

Make sure your display is set to 32bit, and you have the latest drivers, and that you aren't running over remote desktop.

Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
