Initially I thought this was an isolated incident and I posted here

but today my second ATV does not work with its remote either. One ATV was working perfectly fine last night and this morning after plugging it back in nothing happens in the menus when I try to use the remote.

BOTH ATVs have the same problem.

The working ATV unit had v2.2 on it last night but I don't know if it got upgraded because I am pretty sure that I did the do not upgrade thing.

Any help would be appreciated as I now have two ATVs that do not work

You did un-pair the remote(s)?

And what was done (installed or run) in the past?

for the ATV that was working last night it is working again after I unpaired and paired the remotes
