Movie Info Plus - Manage Icons, Posters, FanArt, .NFO's & more for Movies & TV Shows
Awesome program. This makes my life so easy. I am just having trouble with the movies part, for example my movies are named as such:
Cars[2006]HD.720p.mkv
And the Name filter does not appear to support this kind of naming convention. I was wondering one of the ignore customs could be turned into a regex box?

Or any other way to do this without renaming all of my movies would be great!

Thanks,
FF

Fekker, installing RC3 worked fine; all TV Series have imported fine.

Now just need to get my obscure movie collection imported Wink

Thanks

warwon Wrote:with Aeon coming up soon, been thinking of giving this a try.

Just crappy I have my movies in several folders on different drives.

This will take awhile Tongue

checked the manual so Xbmc will see the nfo, and skip scanning the movie is what I read still correct?

I'm not sure of the question here.
If the question is, with .nfo file, xbmc will load those and not attempt to search for the movie. I will load the data from that .nfo file.

Quote:@fekker - is there any way to rename/edit some xml for german posters aslong there isnt a new version out ?

Than i also want to ask if its possible to add an field where you can enter the tvdb ID when MIP didnt find the serie itself ?

Next and last q. is
did you maybe plan to implement the OFDb scraper like its inside xbmc ? it would be a cool option to combinate the gfx part from themoviedb and the Plot/Title from OFDb.

I'll have a new version out today that has the option to override the lang for shows.

for the tvdbid, that's a possibility, the menu system that pops up when it's not sure should get it close. I'll see if there's a way to streamline that.

There is some work going on with the scrapers and MIP, I don't have any details right now or eta on those.

Are you movies by folder or by file.. meaning is each movie in it's own folder, or do ya have a folder with a bunch of movies in it..

Different options are available for the name depending on location.

Thanks I'm going to do a few tests movies tonight I guess

Media Info Plus - RC4
(requires that you download and install rc3 first) - this is just the updated .exe file, extract this to your install path
--- link removed ---

Improvements to file level processing, updated filters thanks to Hans, fixed a few issues with file level items not working correctly
Add's option to ignore lang for shows when getting the images (same as xbmc)
minor gui updates

looks better when using extra large fonts in windows with the default skin (skin name, bling)

for file level movie scanning, go into the setup and configuration and check the new options, these will be on by default at release.

removed media images toolbar since those items are still in early stages of dev, this is the toolbar that is in the dialog that shows up after you click on a media image for the movie/show/music item

Okay I've lost it Tongue

So I can't get to load any "Movie Media Information"

It doesn't read it anymore, not sure why. It did once and that was it.

There's a number of movie in my test folder, that have no .nfo according to Movie Info Plus; but they do have .nfo's.

What am I missing?

Are they in seperate folders or all in one folder.

Can you provide me with the filenames and folder names so I can test it out, might be a bug in rc4

The media information will is being reworked right now for HD Flagging support, but there shouldn't be any changes from rc3 to rc4 for that part as I just started recoding it.

MIP has always been an awesome program. I am happy to help with testing. Here is a bug (tested in RC4):

Tag any movie (ex: 1080p, HD Audio). Goto the Shows: Select a TV Show (just a normal show, not a season or episode), try to tag one as XviD, 5.1. The result is that the screen flips to the last movie I tagged, and that movie is now tagged XviD, 5.1. You must next select Movies and then TV Shows to go back to the TV shows area. When select the individual TV Show, the poster is tagged, but the tag images are 50% of the width of the poster size.

Attempting a tag on a TV Show season poster has the same result.

Tagging an episode image actually does tag the image properly (the sizing is correct), however, the movie flip issue also occurs.

I also started to suspect that the flipping issue was preventing the episode tag from being saved. However, I believe what is happening is that when I restarted MIP and reloaded the shows, that the episode image was reset. I haven't been able to test this fully yet.

Also, if you start MIP clean, and select Shows, and then tag an episode, it works fine. No problems. Here are some other behaviors I noticed when trying to tag season or show posters on a clean start:
1) If you try to tag either a season or show poster, nothing seems to happen (which I suspect might be correct behavior), but if you select an alternate season or show and come back, the poster is tagged with the very large tag images (50% of the width of the poster).
2) If you then select Movies, tag one and then go back to Shows, everything starts flipping again.

Hope this helps,
Fred

Fekker,

I have confirmed... if you load shows. The tagged episode images are reset. At first I thought the *bku* image was actually being used in the NFO, so I suspected the NFO was being changed. Looking at the date stamp on the NFO file, I see that it does not change when an image is tagged. I realize now the BKU file is just a backup. As such, the load shows seems to be actually resetting the original episode image to the default and removing the tags.

good catch on the tv show tagging

It is designed to just tag the episode, i'm going to see what I can do to allow all of them. The size part was an easy fix.. don't double it if height > width .. this may also be the key to the standalone application (image tagger) problem with it freaking out on the tag size.

For the overwrite problem, check the settings and make sure that overwrite existing tbn is not checked. I verified this works as it should.

update.. ok i've did some changes to how it will calculate the overlay.. please try this version

(extract .exe to install directory)

Note: it'll take abit longer to load shows the first time, its running the updated media information code for HD Flagging

It looks like your filenames contain a space at the end of them.

The updated version (talking about Media Info Plus rc4, not MovieInfoPlus) cleans out any spaces at the begining and the end of the file.. which in this case means it can't find the files as it's looking for a .nfo that doesn't have a <space>.nfo in the name

Let me do some testing to see what can be done with those example files.

UPDATE: remove everything but the movie files from your test set and retry with RC4 build 2784 below.
For Media Images, you will want to go into the setup and configuration dialog and turn on those settings.

RC 4 build 2784
PULLED

Had to pull that build, looks like the alpha 3 codes are not what I would expect for hd flagging

For me the german covers still dont work Sad
I reveive now the Background but still no Poster.

I use Version 1.1.0.2783 and cleaned the tvshow.nfo from the series folder and also all inside .\mediainfoplus\cache\tvdb\ and .\mediainfoplus\temp\tvdb\ folder.

Under setup Shows i have selected Language Override for Banners.

Little confused about the space thing..

For example:

3/12/2009 08:39 AM 1,322,118,114 James Bond 007 - Moonraker (1979).avi
03/14/2009 06:03 PM 985,817 James Bond 007 - Moonraker -fanart.jpg
03/14/2009 07:35 PM 3,790 James Bond 007 - Moonraker .nfo
03/14/2009 06:03 PM 52,026 James Bond 007 - Moonraker .tbn

=========

James Bond 007 - Moonraker (1979).avi

Has no spaces:

But the program did this:

03/14/2009 06:03 PM 985,817 James Bond 007 - Moonraker -fanart.jpg
03/14/2009 07:35 PM 3,790 James Bond 007 - Moonraker .nfo
03/14/2009 06:03 PM 52,026 James Bond 007 - Moonraker .tbn

==============

So that might explain the issue with some of the nfo not working...

But what about the media information not showing, or was that the hd fix coming.

Btw I'm awake again Tongue (stupid work) didn't I just goto bed
