Hi,
I downloaded 8.10 Live, burned, booted, and we're up. My suspicions were up at the beginning, as there was no startup sound. I tried playing a video to find there was not only no sound, but the video speed was very high - 4x or faster. I went to settings>system>Audio Hardware and I see default as a text editable setting, but don't know what to change it to. I did some searching through these forums, but haven't run across anything enlightening. Perhaps my google skills need sharpening.
Any thoughts?
Here is my hardware:
mobo- Asus M2N-SLI
proc- AMD Athlon64 x2 5000+ Black Edition
vid- evga GeForce 7200 GS
screen- Samsung 245B 24" DVI
sound- USB cmedia (integrated)
ram- 4GB (2x 2 GB Corsair)
HD- not going to do install until i know the rest works ok
keyboard- MS Natural Keyboard Pro
mouse- MS wireless optical mouse 2.0
Thanks!

Had the same problem on one computer I tested using Live USB stick. My resolution was to change the audio-type to analog, from default digital.
