Hi. I ran sudo apt-get install xbmc and I get an error saying: /var/cache/apt/archives/libenca0_1.9-6_i386.deb: files list file for package `libfftw3-3' contains empty filename

The full story is below and the error is in bold, any ideas?

Weird, try apt-get update to make sure your cache is in check. You might check the ubuntu/debian forums to see if there are some other common causes of that error.

Hey thanks for the response althekiller.

Did some research on the internet and it looks like I have some corrupt files in
/var/lib/dpkg/info/

Here is a good link: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sourc...bug/108189

So basically, I'm in deep you know what....At this point I can say that this isn't an issue related to xbmc, so this thread can be closed.

I'll report back if I get this fixed.
