Http api playlist issue
#1
Hi,

I am designing a Juke box interface for a freinds wedding, using the XBMC as a backend. I have just about got everything working except one problem with playlists.

When I run XBMC in party mode and select a song to queue up (through the GUI), it autmoatically appears as the next song to be played in the playlist (I have checked this using the http GetPlaylistContents command) This is perfect behaviour, as after it has finished playing the queued item it carries on down the partymode auto generated list.

The front end interface is supposed to be simple to allow the guests ease of use. I have tried using the http addtoplaylist command, which works perfectly, however it always sticks the song at the very bottom of the playlist. So effectively each guest will have to wait for 10 tracks to play before hearing their selection.

Queue and addtoplaylist seem to operate differently, probably by design. Is there a way I can change this behaviour? Can't seem to find an http api queue equivalent. Can I manually change the order in which the added song appears in the list?

Just in case people wonder this is an entirely genuine not for profit, one off purley helping a very good mate out on a tight budget with his wedding in Jan.

Any help would be great......XBMC is perfect for what I need, just this one feature escapes me.

Thanks in advance

Andy
