Apologies if this has been discussed before. I couldn't find any prior discussion in a brief search of the forums.
Is there a way to save the stream to disk or otherwise buffer the entire video? I've run across a few streams that are incomplete and I'd like to find a way to ensure I have the entire thing before starting to watch a stream.
Also, I've run into a few occasions where the stream keeps pausing to buffer. If I knew I wouldn't have that problem I'd jump on the chance of watching some streams.
Voinage, your work is much appreciated. I grabbed an old Xbox a couple weeks ago and was pretty impressed with XBMC. Once I stumbled across your plugins and saw what they could do I was blown away. Much thanks!

I've noticed the star man Voinage has started to implement the save to disk option on his plugins which is really handy. Haven't had chance to try it out so can't comment on whether or not the options are working yet but when in the plugin press the white button and it will bring up some options, click "plugin settings" and there should be an option of something like download flv. Just click this and when you click on the stream you want to watch it should ask where you want it downloaded to. VideoMonkey already supports this too as do a few other plugins. Welcome to the world of XBMC mate, it's pretty impressive what you can get out of these old xbox units. |

If i can work out the last few kinks, public:
else: I`ll withhold for a day or two. My only problem is still that xbmc has no plugin exit checking so you cannot catch then execute something else. Had to add a plugin setting to reset the sys.argv`s manually. |

So far so good mate, good work fella. This is going to be a cracking plugin.
Bugs I've found so far: When you have the choice of plugins if you use the scrollbar there is no way to get off of it - it also causes a problem if you use left/right in the menus that don't have a scrollbar. You just have to press the back button and start plugin again. Tried download option on NinjaVideo for a couple of films but it wouldn't download them - it will stream but not download. May be a problem with the actual site but the download worked for a TV show (Stargate Atlantis) on NinjaVideo. Could do with letting you know which plugins VeohProxy are needed for. FastPassTV, Guba, MythBusters & NinjaVideo do not scroll with their description (in the main menu when you pick what plugin you want). Tudou - searches bring up absolutely nothing. FastPassTV - SuperNovaTube has no results, this was also the case last night on the normal plugin so maybe a change on the website. Guba - TV Shows & Music Videos have no results, music videos brings up a list of genres but has no results to show when you click on them. I'll keep testing through the day and will let you know what I find but at the moment it is looking really bloody impressive. It is a bit of a pain in the a*se having to go into the options to restart the start plugin thing but I'm sure you'll find a way around that in the future. Oh one last thing, none of the plugins seem to have the ability for seeking - I know its not possible with flv files but I've tried it with divx with no success. Congratulations once again This will keep me occupied for a while! |
