SMB info problems on aTV

I have been trying to change my workgroup from WORKGROUP to MSHOME in the network settings and add my SMB username and password. It prompts me to restart which I do. When XBMC reloads it freezes immediatly. If I press buttons for a few seconds it restarts again. This time the video freezes, but it sounds like things are moving in the background. The only way I have been able to get out of this is unplugging the aTV. After I do this I can go back to the network settings and there is no username and password saved and my workgroup is back to WORKGROUP. Any ideas?

I update my XBMC to see if it would fix the problem, but it didn't. I am running it on aTV 2.2. I also tried changing the skin for kicks and that didn't help.

Since no one seems to have any idea, can someone point me to where I can manually add them to the code and then pload it to the aTV?
