Wow...xbmc is awesome...working great now. Exactly what i was after.
Initially the CPU was getting maxed out at 100%. But now running b/w 10-35%
My system is an old Athlon XP 2600, 1GB memory, 120GB hard disk, DLINK gigabit ethernet connected to LAN. Nvidia Geforce 6200LE AGP 256MB
I am only watching on a standard definition tv via svideo cable and is good enough for me.
I had to turn on (always enabled) the vertical blank sync option and that fixed the high CPU utilisation. This is found in settings/appearance/screen.
What i did notice after trying a couple of graphics cards is that you need to reinstall otherwise it didnt pickup all the options for the graphics card. There may be an easier way but for me it was quite simple to do a reinstall.
