Jan 16th 2009 update
Today new scripts/plugins and few updates.

• Scripts:
  • Playlistdownloader_29-12-08.zip : New - you can create a playlist on your computer for youtube movies and play this playlist in xbmc to create your own video channel. The script is still bèta. This means that it works, nothing more. If you do something wrong or something i diddn't want you to do, it will not work or generate errors.
    Instructions:
    Create an account on: http://playlist.youtube.vedelaar.nl/ Create some playlists on the site. Copy the script in your scripts directory of xbmc and run it. Log in first with your username on vedelaar.nl and then download a playlist to view it. Have some patience while downloading the first video. This takes a minute or so.
  • RunXM_Install_v0.17.zip : Update
    calvin8714 revised the channel listings, fixed some features to allow for this to run across the different XBMC platform installations, and a revision to allow for the artist biography to not reset to the first page whenever the script requests song/artist/CD updates from XM Radio.
  • RunXM_Upgrade_v0.17.zip : Update

  • XBMC Earth_v0.5.zip : New - An amazing script created by MrLight
    XBMC Earth is now a Google Maps and a Microsoft Virtual Earth Client for XBMC.
    You are able to view the satelite, the hybrid and the street Map from both source GoogleMaps and also MS Virtual Earth and a lot of more!

Feb 3rd 2009 update
A major update today. Developers have been pretty actives those last weeks. A big thank you to them for their wonderful job.
Some of those scripts and/or plugins require the last release of XBMC.

  • Air2Season_13-12-08.zip : New - A program to rename TV shows cataloged by air date to a season/episode format
    This program uses theTVDB.com's XML API http://www.thetvdb.com
    REMEBER TO FILL IN YOUR API KEY

  • OpenSubtitles_v1.0_fixed.zip : New - This script allows to search and download sub from http://www.opensubtitles.org

Temhil, I just wanted to say your script is very nice. I especially like the forum inside the script! XBMC nearly died on me when I touched the skin options in Passion XBMC Installer but other than that, it's got a great section for skins, scripts and plugins. All the latest and greatest! Glad you enjoy it, we currently are working very hard to move forward a 1.0 with pretty nice surprises. Frost is doing an amazing job with the skin part.
We have a lot of fun with this project, and hope all of you guy will like it.

Is there way to do a scraper inside of your script that shows new stuff added by date? Or maybe an arrow or something so you can click and see what the newest items are in a catagory?

This may be a dumb question but Ive looked around and clicked all links but cant find latest ver. Ive not tried Passion but it looks to have alot of extra channels. I installed the Xbmc addon and looked over those channels. Can someone point me to correct link.

Yes, we know it is missing, for now the installer grab the files only from our FTP server, but we are working in order to to it from the website itself, but we need to do some change in the website itself because of it, whatever that is for a 2.0.
For answering to you question, we are thinking about a solution still using info form the FTP server, but yes we are looking to do it, especially now the number of item has increased a lot.
We should release a new version soon, perhaps not yet the 1.0, but you will see there will be some nice surprises

The answer to your problem is actually quite simple, the Installer Passion-XBMC is a script NOT a plugin. That means you need to install/unzip it under XBMC\scripts\
You have have then a directory like:
XBMC\scripts\Installer Passion-XBMC\ with a defaut.py file in it and plenty of other files and directories

If you run XBMC on XBOX, Linux or Windows, use the last release Beta-Christmas-08 available HERE
If you are on MACOSX, use the previous version (there is a bug which should be fixed for the next release) available: Beta4 HERE
From here in XBMC go under script menu and select the icon
In the script you just navigate and either select an item, it will download and then install it at the right location, or you press info, it will give you a description on the item if it is available.
