How do I change the default password on the ATV? The usb stick creates a user frontrow with the same password for ssh login. The command 'passwd' seems not present.

Changing the default password for frontrow is not recommended as it will break most 3rd party plugin scripts that need sudo access to install various items. Thanks for your response. Both options leave a login for user frontrow with default password in place. I guess disabling password login (when using public key login) will also break 3rd party stuff. That makes an Apple TV with XBMC more difficult to secure.
You have two options, 1) create a new user or 2) use ssh certs instead of password logins. Search http://forum.awkwardtv.org for information on how to do this.

Which doesn't stop me from enjoying my new ATV with XBMX Thanks for all the hard work.
