[REQ] External Music Playlist Maker

This may or may not be a true "plugin"...

[i]Problem statement:[/i]
I find building the playlist on XBMC is not easy... hard to navigate with a keyboard alone in the media room.

Solution:
An external playlist maker that could run on a remote computer, query XBMC's DB and create playlists on XBMC.

This way you have the full use of both keyboard & mouse... and can multi-task at your normal PC.

Anyone else think this would be useful? Nod

I just have a share on my PC with m3u playlists, which can be created any number of ways on the PC, and then I use path substitution detailed here. Does that not suit your needs?

I do that now... not time efficient and also does not support smart-playlists.

Ultimately I'd like to see the XBMC DB expanded to support more features like J.River Media Center does with ratings and full ID tagging.
