[MAC/ATV] SiliconDust HDHomeRun not working in XBMC for Mac and Apple TV?

unmesh Wrote:Thanks, davilla. I do need to download the latest t3ch build for Xbox and install it.

As for the ATV version, turning off subtitles did not fix the problem. Logs below:

Xbox build is so different and could be using mplayer for playback. As such, I'm not interested if it works or not there.

Tested last night with 9.04 release candidate branch last night. Turn off subs, works, turn on subs, dies in the same area as your crashreporter log.

9.04.beta1 (SVN-19573M) must have some other issue.

Thanks for taking a look. I will wait for the next XBMC update for ATV.

P.S.: I did not know that the video players were different in the two platforms!

Question
Hi

I added a file stream, it doesn't show anything.

I won't send a log yet, since I must be doing something wrong.

Can someone explain how to use this tuner? Change Channels? Etc?

Come on phihu, you know that we can't and will not guess. pastebin a) xbmc.log and b) your strm file

Well, I know you can't guess

But I don't understand what it is even supposed to do, so I want to know how to configure it before I report a bug.

Is there a FAQ or something showing how to set it up, besides adding it as a source?

Do you have to be running their program? How do you change channels, etc.

I might not have a bug, probably just user error.

UPDATE - Davilla sent me to the HDHomeRun FAQ. I am experimenting right now.

Thanks Davilla

I recently upgraded to build r22528 from the sshcs.com website from whatever build shows up in the Downloads section of Launcher 3.1 and now I am unable to stream from my HDhomerun. I can hear audio for a bit but no video, then the ATV stops responding to the remote for a few seconds after which it starts responding again.

The appropriate section of the xbmc.log file is at http://pastebin.org/15586

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Fixed in r22782. Though keep in mind that the status of recent builds is known to be buggy.

Thanks for the information. I think I will wait for a newer build rather than go back to the previous one since I can live without this functionality for a bit.

I can't tell by reading this thread if this is fixed now.

I'm looking into buying an Apple TV that I'll set up with XBMC and want to get
an HDHomeRun to stream my local channels to it, anyone else have this set up working?

I just reconfirmed that my setup is working. I have the build from SVN 23185

This still work in Frodo 12? I just found my old hd home run box and plugged it into my network.

I see xbmc sees it as a video content device to look at, but I didnt try it yet in case 'bad things will happen' Smile
