MYTH/Ubuntu updates breaking pkges
#1
Hey all,

I did and update yesterday on my test machine it updated the kernel and headers to 2.6.27-11, pulse, xorg, etc there were like 55 or more updates. I did the updates as normal, rebooted and xbmc would no longer autoload r17292 on that machine.

I opened a terminal and tried to run xbmc the error returned was an issue regarding xbmc.bin and shared libraray libSDL1.2 mixer.so.0.
I tried everything re-setup alsa, removed and re-installed the nvidia driver no luck. So then I tried to svn up and got some configure errors - Ah Hah!
So it seems in my case the updates removed some of the dependecies required for xbmc (SVN) to start. I then sudo apt-get install all the required files from the Linux.readme rebooted and all was fine.
It did not seem to affect the intrepid ppa install on my main machine although I did install the deps on that machine as well and it seems there were files missing too, but it did not prevent xbmc frrom loading.

I thought I would mention this in case you do run into the same issues.
