Rofl It appears as though this thread is starting to fall apart.

I think what Paul needs to understand is that we all use our media centers differently, that is what XBMC is all about in my opinion. If we all used it the same way we would probably be using Windows Media Center. Smile

I have never been a big fan of comics myself, so I could care less if that was included - but I am not going to call that poster's interests childish.

On a similar note I took advantage of the sub-menu mod on Alpha14 to add "Piano" to the music dropdown. Why?? To sort all music by piano solos.. stupid?? maybe...but who cares, I love it. Smile I also added "Ambient" as an option on the main bar to house a place for long, ambient videos to play as I do things around the house. (i.e. fireplace, fireworks, clouds, streams, etc. etc.)

I guess what I am saying is I would rather read the constant stream of "I can translate Latvian!" than other users degrade others interests. Smile..in a few days we will all be experiencing Stark in all of its glory! Smile

I haven't been closely following this thread (it's tough to read all of the posts and keep up) but when I did attempt that today I was thrown back. I'm not a huge comic book fan personally, but to think they're for kids? You obviously haven't seen any of the big budget movies that came out in the last few years.

Watchmen - R
Dark Night - PG-13
Superman returns - PG-13
Blade - R
Hellboy - PG-13
IronMan - PG-13
Sin City - R

Either way. Aeon is looking really slick. Can't wait to plop that on my ATV and browse my movies/tv shows in such a beautiful fashion. People that come over are already impressed with MediaStream, and this is a significant step above that aesthetically.

QUESTION: (if only to change the topic of the thread a little bit) - is there a better way to manage film series? (i.e. Lord of the Rings, Friday the 13th, James Bond, Back to the Future, etc.

The reason I ask is because when you hit a "series patch" when scrolling through movies it is a tad annoying. I think it would be a lot slicker if there was a way to group series. I know it would be very easy to do in File mode, but is this possible in library mode? It would be nice to just hit a film series title(Friday the 13th) and then the individual films of that series popup above.

Maybe this is impossible in the current version of XBMC, but it would be something I would love to see in a future release of Stark. I did a quick(and ROUGH) photoshop of what I am talking about below. Hopefully no one will confuse it for an actual screenshot, if that is the case djh feel free to remove.

You're definitely in XBMC feature request territory here. Best put your ideas to them.

jtap06 I was just thinking about that today with all the 007 films being released on br. you wouldn't need to reinvent the wheel with this though. look at how xbmc/aeon handle tv series.

Well, I've always maintained that series of movies should be kept in their own virtual folders rather than in amongst your collection. Just seems to make more sense. I'm not sure how XBMC handles them now but there'd be no skinning needed if the former were true, it'd be just like navigating in File mode.

I'm currently doing this by using edited .nfo files:

It's a bit laborious, but it's a one time edit. And makes for easy scraping when setting up your library from scratch.
