TV Show Episodes not appearing.
#1
I am currently organizing all of my Movies and TV shows for XBMC. I finished getting my movies in with out a problem. But my TV shows won't show up.

I am able to scrape the info, posters, banners, and fanart for my shows, but the episodes don't appear in the TV show folder.

i.e. I add a source in videos for the file that all the episodes of the show are in. I then press "c" on the keyboard and set the content to be pulled from TVDB. When I go into Watch TV shows the artwork and show info are all there, but when I click on the show to view the episode listing, nothing is there.

I've been through the manual and searched the forum.

If someone could help me out with this that would be great.

Thx.

I remember having the same problem on a fresh install of windows and xbmc (with a version from svn of the last week or so). I solved it by copying the database files from a different pc and (in windows) mapping my network drives to the same drive & folders. I thought I was missing something but maybe there's a bug somewhere?

I think your right Sho. But what should I rename the files? I can't find any thing in the manual.
The show is Welcome to the NHK. The folder that the episodes are in is called Welcome to the NHK. The names of the episode files are like this: [Oyasumi]_Welcome_to_the_NHK!_24_[A01C6C62].mkv.Huh

Thx

I just renamed the episode to Welcome to the NHK - s01e01.mkv and it worked! Thanks a whole lot!

My tv shows aren't scanned to the library since a few svn revisions, scanning movies works fine.

WinXP, SVN:17908, MediaStream

Log:
http://pastebin.com/m6a20468a

scanning movie folders turn up in the log like this:
Code:
#
20:15:06 T:3432 M:1218334720   DEBUG: Hash[movies,N:\Movies\Ashes of Time Redux\]:DB=[5B3875F90505DDBF121E988FD541CA0F],Computed=[5B3875F90505DDBF121E988FD541CA0F]

tv shows:
Code:
20:15:06 T:3432 M:1222094848   DEBUG: Hash[tvshows,K:\TV Shows\Lost\]:DB=[],Computed=[]

'DB' and 'Computed' are empty for tv show folders

Could this be an indication of the problem?

Yes I managed to resolve it as described in my comments in this trac ticket:
http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/5955

I removed the regexp from advancedsettings.xml (actually I removed advancedsettings.xml completely). The regexp used to work, but isn't needed anymore for my episodes to be recognized correctly.

[edit]I'm now using revision 18063[/edit]

Hello,

I'm having the same issue as described above. I have configured a source over SMB (SMB://BELGARION/TV SHOWS/), configured it as a TV Show source. The show list appears, but the shows don't contain any file.

My files are named as follows:
<SeriesName>/<SeasonNumber>x/<EpisodeNumber>. <EpisodeTitle>.<ext>

I have created an advancedsettings.xml file (http://xbmc.pastebin.com/f5165f068) and placed it in D:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\XBMC\userdata.

The full log file is visible after creating the source from scratch: http://xbmc.pastebin.com/f7e7e649c.

Thanks in advance for your help !

P.S. I've tried using the stable release and XBMC 9.04 Babylon Alpha 1.

Hi...
Can't get the Tv Shows information working on my Anime, altought they work great with regular tv shows (Two And a Half Man, Big Bang Theory...)
I'm using thetvdb scrapper...

Anime: Welcome to the NHK
Path: C:\Users\Public\Videos\Welcome to the NHK\
File Names: Welcome to the NHK - S01EXX.mkv
Log: http://pastebin.com/f1c4568fd

TheTvDB has information, as you guys can see:
http://www.thetvdb.com/api/GetEpisode.ph...anguage=en

The problem is that XBMC is doing the wrong query.

Anyone who might know what's the problem?
