XBMC GUI heats up my pc
#1
I have no problems with XBMC at all, apart from I read the forums about the GUI using quite a bit of processing power.

XBMC reports around 40% total of a P4 2.8Ghz HT, when XBMC is idle and is producing 99FPS, can I limit it to say 60fps or even 30fps and would this ease the processing on the cpu?

Two options:

1) Enable Vsync in XBMC (Settings->System).
2) Enable vsync in your driver as set XBMC's Vsync to Let Driver Decide.

Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.

Thanks

Under I missed it in the Nvidia driver as they changed it's name to "Sync to VBlank"

PS. Just that one change resulted in a 10% drop in CPU usage
