I mean the black screen with the writing "Invalid Computer Name" Error that appears when a sourced pc is off when you go in the My Videos or My Music sources.

Would be great an automatic silent fail when attempting to open a multi-path source or a option in the advanced settings to disable the Invalid Computer Name Advice

Ps: I had this problem with the XBOX Atlantis 8.10 Release.
With the previous 2008 release (dunno precisely what month) I didn't got the error^^

I agree.... i run a lot of file off external USB dirves... often some are not turned on... so they give this error when acessing the global shares in the Xbox.... would be cool to make this silent as an option, or make it flash with out the need for user input or somthing.

Yeah, let's hope the silent option to make silent this advice will be implemented soon

I think making it a non dialog notification window, like either the scanning status or the 'xbox auto-detection' window, would be a good balance between not getting any error feedback, and a prompt which must press OK for.

In other words, like the windows taskbar bubble notifications.
