i was very pleased when team avalaunch implemeted a ip-phone application into avalaunch. i was very disapointed when i found out that it was only compatible with other xboxes with avalaunch.
since xbmc one of those applications that are running most of the time, a ip-phone implemented in xbmc would be great.
i guess that the best way to get phone (and also webcam support) is via http://www.openh323.org project. i belive that it is written in c and it is gpled.
this would make the developed app compatible with netmeeting, gnomemeeting and other h323-based application.
another possible approach would be against the http://www.skype.com
company, this would make xbmc compatible with windows machines. however, i cant see anything at http://www.skype.com that indicates that they would be interested at sharing code.
xbmc is a wonderful application.
thanks alot.
