Runing samba on archlinux x86_64, samba is accessible over network using Firefox or IE without problem.
I am trying to add Video source, i select Windows networ (SMB) and xbmc exit immediatly with the backtrace on this link:

I also did try to "Add network location..." wroted correct data but after hitting OK xbmc exit with same backtrace..

Any help is welcome.

Workaround is use the OS to mount the share in the file system. I believe that it's generally better performance anyway. Yay Linux!

I recently had exactly same problem with XBMC 64bit on a Mythbuntu64 system. Ended up dropping back to a 32bit Mythbuntu system and the samba worked as expected with XBMC.
