due to the recent flakiness of thetvdb, and the necessity for the system to just "work" for my wife, I've switched over to file mode. The library just wasn't always updating correctly. We only use xbmc for TV shows, so I've set it up to boot into Videos, and start in the shared folder (from my Macbook). I've categorized things well, and file mode works flawlessly. We don't really need the metadata anyway - so it's working out great.
The only problem is, the font size is a bit to small. I switched to the built in Mediastream, which seems to display the list a bit larger, but it's still hard to read from 15 feet away. Is there a skin that's best for this - offering large fonts for list view? I tried setting the bigger and massive fonts, but they're not changing the font size in list view (I think they only work for the plot info, etc).
I tried looking at the font.xml - but it's not clear what variable I need to change to get "list" view fonts larger.
