Just curious, whether / when the next stable release might be coming out? Would XBMC follow the Ubuntu release cycle?...... 9.04 is next then . Would be nice to do a general release, especially with the hardware acceleration features that are being developed in a separate branch now..... Would be sweet, for sure.

Hopefully the 9.04 build has the nVidia acceleration and the Unified PVR stuff.

Then I could be in the market for a replacement for my XBOX! and switch to the Linux world.

I really think the XBMC community could benifit from a perscribed/recommended hardware list:

EG:
Intel Atom blah
nVidia card x (passive cooling)
case y
remote = WinMCE and/or xbox dongle

I think there would be a lot more people who would buy a recommeded setup.

I for one dont want to do all of the leg work, or spend my cash on the wrong hardware!!!

Heck, I just want WMV files to work, personally. I'm not so ambitious.
