MNG image format animations support in XBMC's skinning-engine?
#1
Question
is adding an image format a long hard process?

if you are not in a freeze yet. this could be useful for a skin i'm working on.

we already support mng's - just not the actual animation Wink

that was fast. anyway to support the animations?

i would use it for a mame plugin.

i don't expect it would, but if .mng animations worked in the thumbpanel that would be even better.

ok, i see you use cximage and mng is supported. but looking at your code. i guess you would have to do something like you did for animated gifs?

maybe after 904 you would consider it, but in the mean time should .mng be added to the acceptable image types?

i added it to advanced settings. though it's not necessary for me to use it as Listitem.Thumb. in hopes for an animated thumb display in my mame plugin.

You can't. MNG is not supported. A patch would be welcome.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.
