i think the OP saw the sticky, but is confused as to whether the download is a full install or and upgrade.

It is a full install. So completely uninstall the version you have, and then install this one. There are a few things different in this build, but I don't think you need to know the technical details, plus the build is stripped of all the themes except the default PM3.HD skin. So after installing, just place the AEON Stark folder in the skins folder and you're set.

Why is an older build (18627) recommended? Do newer builds (e.g. 19082) not work properly or are they not stable enough?

Looks like the 18627 build is the latest pc version while the 19082 is the latest mac version.

thanks for the info
i installed it and it works like a breeze Tongue

no filebrowser,
i guess by version 1.0 the filebrowser will be present right?
but that won't stop me from using aeon Smile

it just means i will have to use default skin to scrape my newly organized library Tongue and then switch to aeon Smile

There is a file browser, just no file manager. The latter will be there for the 1.0 version.

I too was wondering why Mac OS X is ok with a 19xxx build but not Windows?
I am using the latest Windows build myself (19082)

Since XBMC is now in feature freeze, i think using the latest SVN is a good idea.
You help test XBMC and make sure Aeon works with all the functionality the
Babylon v9.04 will have.

For example, XBMC will now skip some items in Showcase view if you keep your
finger on the right arrow. It is designed to make going to a specific item faster
but i hate it because it makes it look like your HTPC is choking on the speed.

That is why something in Stark that shows the current letter you are browsing
would show XBMC isn't choking but skipping to the next letter...

Any specific reason not to use the latest Windows build Duncan?

Thanks for your hard work on this amazing skin!

Here are newer builds (e.g. ikons):

I just wondered, because for Mac and Linux you recommend newer builds but for Win an older one.
