TV Shows & posters / fan art
#1
Hey people,

My TV Shows are stored (probably like most peoples) as such:

X:\TV1\Show Name 1\
X:\TV1\Show Name 1\Season 1\
X:\TV1\Show Name 1\Season 1\1x1.mkv

Now, I know that we scrape art from various sites, but is there a simmilar way to how we store fan art for movies, but for tv shows?

e.g.

X:\TV1\Show Name 1\fanart.jpg
X:\TV1\Show Name 1\poster.jpg
X:\TV1\Show Name 1\banner.jpg

X:\TV1\Show Name 1\Season 1\poster.jpg
X:\TV1\Show Name 1\Season 2\poster.jpg

This woudl be cool, as I could then just speicy my own custom 1080p images! Smile

Thanks,
Tom

Hmmm... I guess you're looking for fan art per season. I'd suggest that to the XBMC devs. If you just want to select your own images in a better way, perhaps this is useful to you.

Not really. I just want to specify my own fan art for the whole show. and also the posters for each season...

I would settle for the shows overall fanart and the shows overall poster though Smile

X:\TV1\Show Name 1\poster.jpg

That works already.

Could someone please direct me in asking devs to add the functionality for season specific covers?

I don't use seasons myself but I think this is how it works -

X:\TV1\Show Name 1\fanart.jpg
X:\TV1\Show Name 1\poster.jpg
X:\TV1\Show Name 1\season01.tbn
X:\TV1\Show Name 1\season02.tbn

I see Is a .tbn file simply a .jpg file, but renamed?

fanart.jpg worked, however poster.jpg didnt... any thoughts? i'd love to be able to set my own posters instead of the default ones it selects. i have about 100 shows and two htpcs... it can take a while to go through each show on both machines to set it right!

cheers ppl Smile

Thats cool guys! cheers.

What do I need to do for XBMC to pick up fanart.jpg and folder.jpg when in library mode? Do I need to rescan?

Also, where has the erase library option gone from the video library settings screen? :S

Cheers Smile

Rescan your library and then 'Clean Library...'.
