16:10 backdrop issues

Is there an option or kind of a mod to crop the backdrops on the left and right side so that they better fit on the 16:10 screen?

maybe you can do that by adding the <aspectratio>keep</aspectratio> tag in the appropriate xml.
but i don't know for sure, i'm not really into skinning. and it most likely won't fix the stretched posters.

hmm need more help. a solution only for the backdrops would be enough
