Idle time?

i made a script that i want to run when my xbox has been idle for 5min. is there a way to do this?

i don't want it to start while im watching movies, just when it is idle on a screen.

even just a way to do it when it's on the main screen?
like is there a variable that says what screen you are on maybe?
