hi

first of all i want to say hello and thanks for the great work done here. I'm quite new to linux and xbmc so please be patient if i'm not getting things right at the first guess.
i came to xbmc the way over mythtv and vdr which were both not 100% satisfactioning to me-then i read that xbmc is on the way to implement a frontend for vdr - which i would really appreciate.

so i think thats enough introduction - lets get down to business....
i've just done a fresh install of xbmc live to a usb drive and now i would like to get my remote working. i'm using an atric ir receiver which is also capable powering on the htpc, hooked up to the serial port. for lirc it should behave like any of the homebrew receivers out there. unfourtunatly i got stuck configuring lirc to use the receiver. is there any howto which is applyable to the xbmc live envirement? i've already read the howto in the german vdr wiki but some files or directorys are missing on xbmc live.....

maybe someone may give me a hint...
