I've actually been trying to figure this out for the last couple days. I'm pretty new to xbmc, and am trying to figure out Advanced Launcher. I'm running XBMC in Windows. How do I tell if a program supports command line? Is there a comic reader that has successfully been used in Windows with Advanced Launcher? On Advanced Launcher's wiki, the only comic reader it lists as compatible is QComicBook, which is a Linux program.

I will try to see if it it possible to use Comicrack whit Advanced Launcher, I mean : start it in fullscreen mode using command line, allows to view a specific comic, and avoid to start all the managing part of the software.
For the ComicVine website... yes... Looks really better then ComicDB. I will take a look this week-end to try to see if I can build a scrapper on that www comic source.

Oh I'm glad you guys found ComicRack -- it's a pretty good viewer and I've scraped some data from Comicvine with the addon. It seems to work pretty well. If you can get it working with a command line I would be thrilled too!
The main problem with ComicRack is that it feels kinda bloated and heavy, especially to start up and shutdown. It has a ton of features but I don't need most of them -- well, it might be the best bet for now although I'll check out Comical.
XBMC is so great for viewing many other types of media, I kinda just wish there were some better comic-viewing options! Only three or four features added to the picture-viewing would make it a real decent comic viewer. You just need some "fit" views (fit image to width, height, etc) and easier scroll/paging controls... Maybe one day!
Thanks so much for the Advanced Launcher tip.
